Radiology
Our radiology unit provides fast and reliable health services with its staffed personnel working 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
In our radiology unit, the latest innovations of technology are benefited, MR, digital x-ray, computed tomography, classical and color doppler, ultrasonography, detailed ultrasound, mammography, panoramic x-ray, bone densitometry, portable x-ray devices are used.
Radiology department is an advanced diagnostic support unit that makes significant contributions to the early diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of diseases.
MR (Magnetic Resonance) Imaging
Magnetic Resonance Imaging uses radio waves in the strong magnetic field created by large magnets to image the targeted anatomical structure of the patient. In addition, with the help of MR compatible anesthesia devices, patients who cannot remain still due to various reasons (fear of being in a closed place, pediatric patients, etc.) can be taken safely under anesthesia.
With MR Imaging, nervous system such as spine, spinal cord, brain, head, neck, cervical (neck), lumbar (waist), lumbar hernia, and musculoskeletal system, abdomen, abdomen, breast, prostate, soft tissue lesions are imaged.
Computerized Tomography (BT, CT)
It is a radiological diagnosis method for creating a cross-sectional image (front to back-coronal; top to bottom-axial; right to left-sagittal) of the examined area of the body using X-ray. The tomography device used in Avcılar Hospital Radiology Clinic allows to obtain high quality images with minimum dose with its latest technological features. Compared to other CT devices, it exposes 50% less radiation. With its success in routine diagnostic imaging and high-quality cardiac settings, it can appeal to all patient segments.
- Even the smallest details can be easily visualized thanks to the thin section thickness taken for the imaging of coronary and vascular structures and the evaluation of heart anatomy and functions.
- Cardiac studies are performed effectively even in patients with high heart rate and arrhythmia, making it easier for physicians to diagnose.
- It provides high quality angiography results and enables coronary CT angiography and calcium scoring.
- It has a wide gantry (the part where the patient enters) opening for patients with claustrophobia.
- Thanks to special protocols, it allows pediatric patients to be imaged at very low doses.
- It increases the communication with the patient by keeping the efficiency of clinical applications at the highest level with the latest technological R&D studies.
- It follows the “As Low as Reasonably Achievable- ALARA” principle as it includes various dose algorithms and keeps the radiation level to a minimum.
- It includes image reconstruction protocol that saves dose up to 60%.
- It protects sensitive organs such as eyes and thyroid by providing dose modulation of the patient on an organ basis.
- It can scan large body areas in a short time. By this way, the time the patient spends on the device and the dose he/she receives are reduced.
- It is the only system that can take real 128 slices. It yields 384 reconstructed sections. By this way, even the smallest details can be easily imaged.
